The Fakenham and Dereham Talking Newspaper Association, more widely known as the “Fakenham Talking Times”, is a registered charity that produces free fortnightly audio recordings of local news, derived from the area’s press, for those who are blind, sight-impaired, or unable to read a newspaper. The Registered Charity number is: 289662.

Every fortnight, our volunteers record a number of news stories, magazine articles and quizzes, which are sent out to about 60 recipients across the area.

This service is free to all our listeners, being run by volunteers. The recordings are sent out free of charge courtesy of the postal service.

If you would like to become a listener, or know somebody who might enjoy access to the newspaper, click HERE to complete an online application form.

The Fakenham Talking Times is affiliated to the national Talking Newspaper Federation.
